Photos by Vern Norbury
August 10, 2000

Vern Norbury is taking a bit of a break from his weekly column. But over the years, he's enjoyed recording his bird sightings through a camera lens.

This week we offer a pictorial column with photographs by Vern Norbury.

Photograph number one is a pair of baby robins waiting to be fed.

Photograph number two is a robin hopefully on the way to feed the youngsters.

Photograph number three is that of a female purple finch on the left; a male purple finch on the right with a white crowned sparrow behind it.

Photograph number four is a Gray Jay or also known as a Whiskey Jack.

Photograph number five is a male varied thrush.
